Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Paydrip (formerly Pulse) is a live salary tracker for iPhone. This policy explains what happens to the information you put into it. The short version: it stays on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud, and we never receive it.
We don’t collect your data
Paydrip has no accounts and no servers of its own. We never receive the information you enter into the app, and we don’t collect anything about how you use it.
What’s stored on your iPhone
Everything you enter is stored on your device:
- Your pay, work schedule and savings goal
- Expenses, income, bills and categories
- Wishlist items and work sessions
- Settings and preferences
Paydrip doesn’t connect to your bank or any financial account. You enter everything yourself.
iCloud backup
If you’re signed in to iCloud, Paydrip keeps a backup copy of your data in your own private iCloud storage, using Apple’s CloudKit private database. The backup includes the data listed above, along with your device’s name, the app version and a random identifier for this installation of Paydrip, so you can tell your backups apart when you restore.
The backup is stored in your iCloud account and is readable only by you. We can’t see or access it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
You can turn the backup off, or delete it from iCloud, at any time in Paydrip under Settings → iCloud backup. Deleting Paydrip from your iPhone doesn’t delete the iCloud backup: delete it in the app first, or manage it in your iPhone’s iCloud settings.
No analytics, ads or tracking
Paydrip contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or telemetry. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports; these contain nothing you entered.
Feedback you send us
If you choose to send feedback from Paydrip (Settings → Send feedback, or “Not really” when the app asks whether you’re enjoying it), your own mail app opens a message to us. You decide whether to send it. It includes what you write, plus a few technical details to help us fix problems: the app version, iOS version, device model, app language and the kind of pay you track (salaried, hourly or shifts). It doesn’t include any of your amounts or entries.
If you send it, we receive your email address and that message. We use them only to reply and to improve Paydrip, and we delete them on request.
Notifications, Shortcuts and tips
- Notifications: bill reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us.
- Siri and Shortcuts: entries you log through Shortcuts are saved in the app on your iPhone.
- Tips and Home themes: the optional tip and theme purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We don’t receive your payment details. Restore Purchases asks Apple which themes your Apple Account owns.
Your control
- Delete any entry in the app, or all of your data by deleting the app.
- Turn off or delete the iCloud backup in Settings → iCloud backup.
- We hold no data about you, so there’s nothing to request from us, except any feedback email you chose to send, which we’ll delete if you ask.
Third parties
Paydrip uses only Apple services: iCloud (CloudKit) for your private backup, and the App Store for tips and theme purchases. It doesn’t use any other third-party services and doesn’t share your data with anyone.
Children
Paydrip isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date above.
